Commentaries are available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes. They are available as sets, or as individual volumes. A commentary may cover the entire bible, or just one of the books of the bible. And, new commentaries are always being published.

Spurgeon's Commenting and Commentaries - In 1876, C. H. Spurgeon delivered two lectures to his students about the art of writing and using commentaries. This was followed up by a review of the currently available commentaries on the entire scripture, organized by book of the bible.
